Acid is a Superior Element (or Fusion Element) in Elemental Battlegrounds, released on December 19, 2018. Its color palette consists of mostly lime green, with small amounts of purple, red, whitish grey, orange, yellow, and aquamarine/cyan. Its medal depicts a modified, swirlier version of the biohazard symbol.

Acid is an Element with a great combo potential, pairing with rapid Spells, additional burn damage, means of trapping opponents, and so on, all at a satisfactory damage level. It is, however, ineffective in aerial combat and lacks a spell that does a significant amount of direct damage to knock opponents dead. Its Spells have a small range, therefore it's best to utilise them in close to medium-ranged battle.

This Element can be obtained by fusing Water (150 Diamonds) and Darkness (650 Diamonds), costing an additional 500 Diamonds to fuse.

Note: Damage was tested with 50 Power on a player with 50 Defense.

Spells[]

Spells
Acid Rain
Spell 1 Type Multi-Projectile
Spell 1 Description "User fires medium damage balls of acid that spawn into more balls of acid on impact, leaving toxic puddles behind."
Spell 1 Info Shoots 5 (or 10 if fully charged) acid bullets at the user's cursor's location that are affected by gravity and create acid puddles upon impact, doing 32 damage per bullet and creating extra acid bullets (that do not deal damage) to create even more acid puddles. The puddles will deal 23 burn damage over time to enemies standing in them and apply a green tint on their screen. The burn effect lasts for a short period after enemies have left the puddles.
  • Consumes 300 Mana, and has a 7-second cooldown
Spell 1 Picture Acid Rain
Septic Splatter
Spell 2 Type Transportation
Spell 2 Description "User can charge up to become a controllable puddle of acid that will absorb and then tackle any enemy that they touch and deal low damage."
Spell 2 Info Transforms the user into an acid puddle and quickly moves them into the direction of their cursor's location, leaving behind acid puddles at the user's last location before the Spell was cast, along with grabbing any enemies that get hit by the user and knocking them away when the Spell ends, doing 100 damage to them and applying burn damage that deals 25 damage over time, doing 200 damage overall. The acid puddles apply a green tint on the enemies' screen and deal 20 burn damage over time, and like Acid Rain, the burn effect lasts for a short period after the enemies have left the puddles. The Spell cannot be used while midair, but the user will fall slowly if they fall off a solid object while the Spell is active. This Spell can be charged to increase its duration.
  • Costs 750 Shards, consumes 275 Mana, and has an 8-second cooldown
Spell 2 Picture Septic splatter
Sewer Burst
Spell 3 Type AoE
Spell 3 Description "Users' mouse cursor can control the location of an acidic tornado that will deal medium damage and splatter opponents screens."
Spell 3 Info Causes a large geyser of acid to burst out of the ground at the user's cursor's location, which suspends enemies in the air, covers their screen in acid splatters, deals 37 damage to them over time, and occasionally launches them into the air, doing 246 damage. This Spell can also be used on the sides of walls and under ceilings. The cooldown starts the moment the geyser disappears.
  • Costs 800 Shards, consumes 425 Mana, and has an 8-second cooldown
Spell 3 Picture Acid3
Corrosive Stream
Spell 4 Type Projectile
Spell 4 Description "User will create a controllable puddle of acid that when touched will become a bubble that grabs an opponent and deals high damage."
Spell 4 Info Surrounds the user in an acid puddle, and then summons another acid puddle that follows the user's cursor, which creates even more acid puddles, and can grab enemies and lift them up into the air, stunning them, before releasing them and doing 250 damage. The controllable acid puddle can also scale up walls, and will disappear if either a short period of time has passed or it attempts to scale down a wall, releasing a tiny burst upon disappearing which trips and deals 100 damage to nearby enemies. The acid puddles apply a green tint on the enemies' screen and deal 17 burn damage to them over time, and like Acid Rain, the burn effect lasts for a short period after the enemies have left the puddles.
  • It costs 1000 Shards, consumes 300 Mana, and has a 10-second cooldown
Spell 4 Picture Acid4
Toxic Basilisk
Spell 5 Type Ultimate
Spell 5 Description "User summons an incredibly strong toxic monster that will trap nearby players while bashing them with a poisonous and high damage sword then finishes them off with a dangerous explosion."
Spell 5 Info The user summons a massive acid puddle (which stuns enemies), large green clouds, and a large swamp monster that wields a sword, which then starts swinging its sword in front of the user, doing 45 damage per hit, before slamming its sword down, doing 100 damage to enemies near the sword, as well as creating a large explosion, which will knock away all enemies within the puddle and deal 250 damage to them. The Ultimate can deal 665 damage overall, reduce all damage dealt to the user by 80%, and can also be ended early if the user presses the "E" key on their keyboard.
  • It costs 1400 Shards, consumes 750 Mana, and has a 160-second cooldown
Spell 5 Picture Acid5 (Ended early)

Trivia[]

  • Although the Element is named Acid, referencing the non-organic form, the medal uses the modern day symbol for a biohazard, with the addition of the well known swirls seen in almost every medal.
  • The roar that plays during Toxic Basilisk is the same roar SCP-682 uses in the game SCP: Containment Breach.
  • A user in the Elemental Battlegrounds Discord server, called Plurksturr, who suggested the idea of Toxic Basilisk, says that the sword is made of francium (Fr), which is a highly radioactive metallic chemical element that is highly reactive to corrosive materials such as acid, resulting in explosions and possibly the reason why the ultimate ends with an explosion.
  • The monster summoned in Toxic Basilisk is the Lizard Man of Globslang Swamp, an Rthro package made by Roblox, making it the first Spell in the game to use an Rthro package.
  • Acid is the first Element to have a lobbed Multi Projectile Spell (which means its projectiles are affected by gravity), the second being Slime.
    • However, Scorching Basalt was originally going to be lobbed, but this has since been scrapped.
  • Toxic Basilisk has the longest cool-down out of all Ultimates which is 160 seconds. Time's The World has the second longest cool-down, which is 120 seconds.
  • Every Spell (except for Septic Splatter) was named by a user in the Elemental Battlegrounds Discord server.
  • Acid is the first Element to use one or more items from the Roblox catalog in its Spells, the second being Technology.
  • Many players in the community agree that Toxic Basilisk is among the weakest Ultimates in the game due to its low damage output and extremely high cool-down.
  • Despite Sewer Burst's name, there are actually no sewers in Elemental Battlegrounds.
  • By the time of Acid's release, Toxic Basilisk could be finished early by pressing the E key. It was later removed, but seemingly brought back when Technology was added.
    • Toxic Basilisk is the fourth Spell that can be finished early by pressing a key, the others being Time's Warp Bombs, Phoenix's Immolate, and Chaos' Disorder Ignition.
  • Acid is the first Superior Element in the game to use a Starter Element on its fusion.
  • Acid Rain shares the same animation with Slime's Sticky Barrage.
  • Septic Splatter can rarely insta-kill players.
  • Sewer Burst used to pull players out from the Safe Zone.
  • Explanation Behind the Fusion
    • It's heavily implied that Darkness' chemical-like nature is responsible for turning water into the rank bio-hazardous acid that's conjured in the Acid spells.
    • Or, fairly similarly, darkness is often associated with danger, and combined with the liquid properties of Water, creates a dangerous liquid.
